The machine learning challenge, designed by Docler Holding, rewarded the "418 - I'm a Teapot " team in third place; in second place the team "Les bâlaises" and the big winner is "PoinPy", which developed an application mixing Health and Machine Learning. Each winner was awarded a voucher for the online hotel booking site [Elvoline.com](http://elvoline.com/?fbclid=IwAR3hKfRzS_lgcXl0syHuaX4qXTMNQUXxBp3vv1P4VktGMSlPUBfKJH-UORQ). The Open Data challenge, created by Digital Luxembourg, rewarded the "LTS1" team in third position; second place is the "Eklekt IA" team, and the big winner is the "Healthy Biking" team. A special prize was also given to the "PoinPy" team.

In December of 2017, Docler Holding’s Teqball visited the Socio-Educative Center in Dreiborn to donate a Teqball table to the organization. Four other tables were donated to Solidarité jeunes, the University at Belval, the Bertrange Commune, and ASBL Sportunity.

An exceptional event took place in the Grand Duchy this weekend with superstars Carles Puyol, Robert Pirès, Simão Sabrosa, William Gallas, Ruud Gullit, Christian Karembeu, Roby Langers, Ricardo and Nuno Gomes. The Luxembourgish Minister of Sports, Romain Schneider, opened the event, which is also part of the European Week of Sport (#Beactive).

All these brilliant players were brought together thanks to the call of a new sport hosted in Luxembourg, Teqball. The very first Teqball All Stars Cup took place at the Center Atert in Bertrange with a series of activities: singles and doubles Teqball matches (Luxembourg vs Portugal, then Hungary vs Romania), Teqvolley, a futsal game, and a celebrity Teqball tournament.

An exceptional event took place in the Grand Duchy this weekend with Teqball Ambassadors.

Teqball All Stars Cup Luxembourg

It follows in the footsteps of the WWX, a community organized event that was held annually in Paris for the past five years.
Building on its predecessor's success, the summit will bring together the core team behind Haxe. It will also gather all the active members of the community worldwide, as well as businesses that are either already using the technology, or wish to evaluate it further and meet the people behind it.

“Haxe is a free cross-platform language, that allows the compilation of the same code base to JavaScript, C++, Java, C#, Python, PHP and other less known targets. It has an arsenal of cutting edge features that make it highly expressive and flexible and while it has not yet succeeded in entering the mainstream, it looks back on over a decade of production use and a steady growth of its community and ecosystem”, explains Juraj Kirchheim, a Haxe advocate.
Some high profile speakers have already confirmed their participation such as Nicolas Cannasse, Director of Haxe Foundation; David Mouton, CTO at Happy technologies; Francis Bourre, Software Architect at Docler Holding, just to mention a few. Haxe is an open source toolkit based on a modern high level strictly typed programming language, a state-of-the-art light-speed cross-compiler, a complete cross-platform standard library, and it offers ways to access to each platform's native capabilities.

The 2017 Haxe Summit is the first official conference for the Haxe programming language, which will take place in Amsterdam from Sept. 13 to 16.

Out of a total of 160 applications from 25 different countries, the jury selected 19 ICT startups, based on the criteria of innovation, uniqueness, creativity and growth potential. They will compete on May 9th from 4:50pm during ICT Spring Europe. This year, the prizes are equivalent to a total amount of 100,000 €; of which 50,000 € are offered by Docler Holding. The European American Enterprise Council will offer a 3-month acceleration program in the US and free participation to the CES 2018. Innohub will offer a 3-month acceleration program in Luxembourg, including a 360° analysis based on the ISMA 360 methodology, as well as some coaching.

**“I have to say that this year the selection of the 19s was even more difficult than previously. We received a lot of interesting applications from all over the world and from a number of different fields. We are really proud that so many startups applied, it hasn’t stopped doubling since we started and it shows the attraction of our event as well as Luxembourg”,** explains Marton Fulop, COO of Docler Holding.

“Pitch Your Start-Up” is a contest for startups that are active in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT). Each startup will get 3 minutes and 33 seconds to convince the jury and impress the audience, followed by a 2 minutes of Q&A. The jury is composed of experts from the national ecosystem: Xavier Buck (DCLGroup), Nicolas Mackel (LFF), Marton Fulop (Docler Holding), Jean Hilger (BCEE), Jean Diederich (Wavestone), Pol Goetzinger (Innohub), Jerome Grandidier (EAEC), Jean-Michel Ludwig (Luxinnovation), Keith Hopper (Docler Holding) and Karoly Papp (Docler Holding).


Who will follow in the footsteps of Sesamm and Wondermags, the happy winners of the 2016 and 2015 editions? The winner will be announced at the gala dinner of ICT Spring Europe 2017.

17 international Start-ups had the opportunity to present their projects in front of a jury composed of Karoly Papp (Docler Holding), Jean Michel Ludwig (Luxinnovation), Marton Fulop (Docler Holding), Xavier Buck (DCL Group & ICT Cluster), Nicolas Mackel (Luxembourg For Finance), Keith Hopper (Docler Holding), Jean Hilger (ICTSpring Advisory Board) and Andras Danko (Docler Holding).

This edition gathered more than 200 people from the European investment, ICT and Start-up scenes.
